Not that this is anyone’s business but mine, but I need some info…. I procrastinated and did not but my car tag, when it was due, and was ticketed for speeding and driving w/ an out-of-date paper tag. I am going to be forced to get a $200 payday loan for a couple of weeks so that I clear this matter up.
I know that payday loans are high interest, etc, blah, blah, and are a bad deal to get into, but poor people have poor ways, and I have no tag on my fabulous little car, so I am a sitting duck waiting to be stopped. I can borrow some money from my folks, and I can get an extension on the tickets (although I have to take off work to see the judge…GAWD) so anyway, are any Payday Loans places better then the other? I know there is one on every corner, but can you help?
It’s just a one-time deal, but its gotta be taken care of….
Banklady Answer:
I feel that Payday loans should be avoided in most cases with a few exceptions. This main exception being when you are in trouble with the law or have a ticket to be paid. Expired tags are a totally legit reason to get a few hundred borrowed to you no matter the interest. With expired tags you have deadlines and these are dates you do not want to miss. You have to have your car to make more money and keep things up to date to keep that money and not fork it all over to the city.
Your best best is comparing various payday loans online. You may start out by walking into a local pawn shop and seeing what they offer in terms of fees and rates compared to the online businesses. You will normally find that a loan online could save you money.
