The majority of us have made online purchases and have become addicted to the tax-free shopping with mostly free shipping and mostly hassle-free except for one major issue. The major issue I have with online shopping is that they never post toll free phone numbers to call when we need to get in touch with them for emergencies or cancellations of orders. I mainly want to call Amazon or Buy.com for price comparisons since there is no easy way online to do this I like to speak to humans instead of an email sent to them that comes back a few days or a week later. I will find a CD a dollar or two cheaper on one ecommerce site and then want to buy it along with something else on the site that has one item more expensive. The problem is a phone number to contact them right after I make the order to change the order to reflect the price savings. I also come into wondering where my order is after it first says two-day shipping it’s been a week and there order has not arrived at my doorstep – these are the times I need customer service on the phone and quick!
Amazon customer Service number is (800) 201-7575.
Ebay online auction services can be reached by calling 408-376-7400, or use their toll free numbers at 800-322-9266 and 888-749-3229. I normally have better luck with numbers that are not toll free.
Paypal can be phoned at 1-888-221-1161 or 402-935-2050. PayPal in the UK: 0870 7307 191 (replace the first 0 by +44 if dialling from outside the UK).
Yahoo! – The number one ranked online company but you would think no one works there from them never posting their phone number: 1-408-349-1572.
